Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have decided to tie the knot this fall.

There has been much speculation that the pair is planning to wed this weekend but Cruise’s spokesman, Paul Bloch, stated, “As far as I know, the plans are for late summer early fall.” Bloch also said the couple plan to marry in private at one of Tom’s homes, reports Boston.com.

As the couple prepare to tie the knot, there might be two important people missing, Holmes’ parents.

It is rumored that Martin and Kathleen Holmes will not be attending the nuptials if the couple marry in a Scientology ceremony. Being devout Catholics, Martin and Kathleen Holmes disapprove of her Scientology lifestyle.

The couple got engaged last year when Cruise, 44, proposed to Holmes, 27, on the Eiffel Tower.

They welcomed daughter Suri in April.
