Chad Kroeger Charged With Drunk Driving
Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger has been charged with drunk driving stemming from a June 22 incident in Surrey, B.C.
Kroeger, real name Chad Robert Turton, will appear in court on Aug. 25, said Crown Attorney Stan Lowe. CTV.ca reports Kroeger was stopped by two officers in police cruisers after they became suspicious of the way the vehicle was being driven.
The rock singer is charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08.
Kroeger’s lawyer released a statement on behalf of the singer that said Kroeger “wishes to make it clear to all his fans that drinking and driving is something that should be avoided at all costs.”
