Kate Hudson has won her libel suit against the UK Enquirer after the magazine printed a photo making the actress look too thin. The accompanying article claimed Hudson’s mother, actress Goldie Hawn, wanted her to eat more.

According to Reuters, lawyer Simon Smith told Britain’s High Court that the photos implied his client had “recklessly and foolishly endangered her health by deliberately starving herself.”

Smith also claimed that the magazine printed other pictures of Hudson in the preceeding and proceeding weeks and described her as appearing “stunning” and “great.”

Smith also responded to the claim that Hawn urged her daughter to change her eating habits.

“Ms. Hawn has explained to me that she has never had any concerns about her daughter’s appearance whatsoever and that she has always appeared to be very healthy and happy,” he said.

The magazine has agreed to print a public apology to Hudson and pay her an undisclosed amount of cash.
