Actress Jessica Biel is set to auction off a date to the highest bidder, with proceeds going to a teenager who lost her leg on prom night in an automobile accident.

According to newspapers in Denver, the event will be called “Mollypalooza” in celebration of 18-year-old Molly Bloom. Her family has been saddled with medical bills following the accident.

In May, Bloom was struck and dragged almost 40 feet by a Hummer stretch limousine, according to police. The driver of the car, Stanley D. Sample, is facing a misdemeanor charge of careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.

“My mom happened to be able to contact (Biel’s) parents, and they had heard about Molly’s tragedy,” said Dmitri Lee Natali, a 19-year-old friend and ex-classmate of Bloom’s. “They said, ‘Yeah, I bet she’ll do [the date].’”

The fundraiser will take place on Tuesday at the Rock Island Club in Denver, CO, though Biel won’t be in attendance.
