Police in Detroit are investigating Eminem’s alleged involvement in a fight that broke out in the men’s washroom of a strip club.

The skirmish occured in the early morning hours on Thursday at the Cheetah strip club, located on the road made famous by the rapper’s music and film, 8 Mile.

The alleged victim, identified only as Miad J. by ABC News affiliate WXYZ, claims he was assaulted in the bathroom after telling one of Em’s bodyguard to lay off a star-struck, chatty fan.

“[Eminem] started swinging,” said Miad. “I wasn’t even expecting it. I was just minding my own business.”

According to Miad, the rapper punched him in the face four or five times before the club’s bouncers intervened and threw out Em’s bodyguards.

The Detroit Free Press reports that a spokesperson for the club said a fight had occurred inside the Cheetah, involving Eminem, but gave no further details.
