Avril Lavigne and rocker finance Deryck Whibley are rumoured to marry this weekend in California, CBC reports.

The Canadian couple are said to be preparing a traditional ceremony at which to exchange vows with one another. The couple’s label, Nettwerk, has not commented on whether the rumours are true or not.

The couple met in 2004, and Whibley proposed to Lavigne in 2005.

Speculation about the upcoming nuptials has increased over the last few weeks, especially after Lavigne was spotted receiving gifts at what appeared to be a bridal shower.

It will be the first marriage for both Canadian rockers.
