The media is still asking the question does Suri Cruise actually exist, the Associated Press reports.

Part of the speculation is because of the lateness of the issuing of Suri’s birth certificate, which was leaked online this week.

Normally a birth certificate is issued within 10 days of a baby’s birth, Suri’s was issued nearly a month after her birth because there was no one who could certify the birth.

Reports have also said that Cruise and Holmes were willing to sell the first photos of their baby, a la Brangelina, but that the price they were offered was not high enough.

Arnold Robinson, Cruise’s spokesperson, meanwhile, is pleading for privacy.

“If and when they do make a decision, it will be at their discretion and not anybody else’s,” Robinson says.

The Associated Press notes that Cruise was equally as secretive with his two elder children after they were adopted by him and ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
