Canadian Idol Down to 10
And we’re down to 10.
“Canadian Idol” sent four more hopefuls home tonight to trim the remaining 14 down to 10, as per Canada’s votes.
Host Ben Mulroney said that over 3.3 million votes were cast over the two nights of performances. This week, the ladies competed on Monday and the men on Tuesday.
Mulroney didn’t waste anytime eliminating the contestants, instead of giving a bottom four from both the sexes, he told three people they were in the top 10, and told the eliminated Idol they were eliminated, without any drama or sudden commercial breaks.
The four eliminated hopefuls were Ashley Coles, Keith MacPherson, Sheldon Elter and Nancy Silverman.
Mulroney told the eliminated four that they were responsible for some of his personal favourite moments of the top 22 performances.
The top 10 for the season are Sarah Loverock, Tyler Lewis, Kati Durst, Ashley Coulter, Rob James, Chad Doucette, Craig Sharpe, Eva Avila, Brandon Jones and Steffi D.
“Canadian Idol” cuts back to only Mondays and Tuesdays for the rest of the summer.
