A Fire in the House of Ozz
Ozzy Osbourne’s house nearly went up in flames on Thursday morning for the second time in just over a year.
A fire broke out in Ozzy’s Buckinghamshire, England mansion, apparently sparked by faulty wiring in a lamp.
According to the BBC, none of the Osbournes were home at the time of the fire, but youngest daughter Kelly had just left the estate to tape pieces for TV’s Project Catwalk.
A smoke alarm that went off at 7:25 a.m. automatically alterted the fire department, shortly before a housekeeper called in the emergency. Fire fighters arrived and put out the blaze before it could spread any further.
There was minor damage to a hallway, and a member of the Osbournes’ staff was treated for smoke inhalation, but that was as serious as things got.
In March 2005, the family was forced to flee from the house when a flames spread from a fireplace. Luckily, that blaze was also quite minor.
