Massive attack is set to hit the road for their first major North American tour in eight years.
As andPOP previously reported, the band will launch the tour with a stop at Toronto’s inaugural Virgin Festival on September 10. The three week tour will also make a stop in Montreal on September 11 before wrapping up with a three-night stand in New York City from October 3-5.
Sources also say that longtime collaborators Elizabeth Fraser and Horace Andy will make appearances throughout the tour, though nothing has been confirmed.
Massive Attack’s fifth album, “Weather Underground,” is expected to be released in early 2007.
