Gary Glitter, the disgraced former glam-rock icon, has had an appeal rejected by a Vietnamese court. Glitter was fighting a three-year jail sentence for child sex abuse.

In March, the 62-year-old Brit was convicted of molesting two girls, aged 11 and 12.

Glitter (real name: Paul Gadd) admitted to letting a girl into his bed but denies committing abuse. I guess he figured that story worked for Michael Jackson.

“We did not see enough evidence to reduce the penalty for the defendant,” said chief judge Truong Vinh Thuy of the People’s Supreme Court in Ho Chi Minh City.

Glitter has been in custody since November 19, when he was arrested while trying to board a flight out of Vietnam.
