Meredith Vieira Says Good-Bye to The View
Hot on the heels of Katie Couric’s much publicized departure from “Today,” Meredith Vieira signed off of “The View” today, EW.com reports.
Vieira is set to take over Couric?s vacant spot at the NBC morning show in September. Reportedly, Vieira also plans to continue to host the syndicated version of “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.”
The other ladies on “The View” recounted their favourite memories of Vieira, as well, celebrities were on hand to wish her well including Mario Cantone, Joan Rivers and Gilbert Godfrey.
Before the end of the show, Vieira quipped she asked for George Clooney to be the guest, and all she got was Godfrey.
Rosie O’Donnell will be taking over Vieira’s spot on “The View.”
