George Clooney and his business associates are scrapping their $3 billion “vintage Vegas” resort complex idea.

According to E! Online, Clooney and associates sold the land they were planning to build on for $202 million on Monday.

“I’ll donate my profits from the sale to the African Debt Relief Project,” Clooney says.

The reasons for scrapping the plans for the new resort included rising construction costs and slow residential sales.

Despite not building in Vegas, Clooney will be in the Sin City beginning July 21 to film ?Ocean?s 13.?
