New Beck Album Set for Fall Release
According to a post on his website, Beck Hansen has finished work on his next studio album and will release the as-yet-untitled disc this fall. No official street date has been set for the record, but it comes only a year-and-a-half after his last LP, “Guero,” hit stores.
The new album was produced by Nigel Godrich, a long-time Radiohead collaborator and the producer of two prior Beck releases, 1998’s “Mutations” and 2002’s “Sea Change.”
2005’s “Guero” was the highest-charting album of Beck’s career, debuting at No. 2 on the The Billboard 200. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the record has sold 800,000 copies in the U.S.
