Mike Skinner, best known as the primary force behind U.K. rap group The Streets, has announced plans to run in this year’s New York Marathon. The plan was posted in a recent entry in his official blog, with the title “Big Grief.”

Skinner says he spoke to Reebok, who sponsors his line of shoes, about the run.

“Spoke to Reebok about things and I’ve decided to run the New York Marathon,” he wrote. “I know it seems a bit long but if people do it dressed as milk cartons it can’t be that hard, right?” If only Skinner hadn’t given up booze and drugs, he could’ve run the marathon dressed as a liquor bottle.

In the posting, he also appealed to Rolls Royce to sponsor his run with a free car.

The 26-mile marathon, which is set to be held on November 5, attracts nearly 750,000 people each year.
