Movie stars Daryl Hannah and Danny Glover have taken up the cause of protesting the proposed destruction of the South Central Farm, E! Online reports.

The 14 acre farm in Southern Los Angeles is owned by Ralph Horowitz, who wants to develop the property. Currently, the farm allows 360 farmers to plant rare fruits and vegetables.

Horowitz offered to sell 10 acres of the land to a non profit group for just over $16 million, but the group came up $10 million short. He ordered the eviction of the farmers, and protestors have since set up camp.

Glover urged the protestors not to adhere to the eviction order, while Hannah has set up camp on the property.

Other celebs that have given their support to the cause include Leonardo DiCaprio, Ed Harris, Rosanna Arquette and Martin Sheen.
