Sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are reportedly barely speaking because Ashlee is jealous of her big sis.

“There’s been a lifelong rivalry,” a source close to the Simpson family told Star Magazine. “You’ve got two driven young women, both clamoring for attention.”

“I think she feels her parents, especially her dad, Joe, have always favored Jessica, and she’s sick of it,” the source also revealed.

Ashlee is jealous of Jessica’s music and movie careers.

“Ashlee would love to star in movies like her sister,” says the family source.

Though Jessica has sold 6 million albums compared to Ashlee’s 4 million, Ashlee “brags constantly about how she’s a natural-born musician and Jess isn’t,” Star’s source reports. “She’s the first to let you know she’s more talented!”

Ashlee is also reportedly jealous of Jessica’s looks, so much that she has even considered surgery.

“She’d love to have a pair of ’sit up and take notice’ breasts, which is what Jess has,” the source says.
