Michael Jackson arrived in Japan on Friday for his first appearance at a public event since being acquitted of child molestation last June.
Jackson’s local agent in Japan, Broderick Morris, said the singer plans to attend an awards ceremony in Tokyo on Saturday and an orphanage on Sunday, according to Reuters. That’s right?Michael Jackson at an orphanage.
“Michael Jackson is a legend?He loves Japan and we love him,” said Morris in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming him.”
The 47-year-old is set to accept MTV Japan’s “Legend Award” at Tokyo’s Yoyugi Olympic Stadium. He also plans to visit Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Jackson currently resides in the Gulf state of Bahrain.
