Full-time diva and part-time lunatic Mariah Carey has announced plans for a full-scale North American tour this summer.

Pretentiously dubbed “The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, the Hits, the Tour,” Carey’s 31-date trek will include four Canadian shows.

In order to care for her delicate “voice” (read: sanity), Carey has scheduled breaks of one to three days between each performance.

“As a singer, I need a certain amount of vocal rest, where I just don’t talk before I do a show,” Carey told MTV. “On tour it’s like really hardcore singing moments and then resting.”

August 13 – Toronto, ON @ Air Canada Centre
August 15 – Montreal, QC @ Bell Centre
September 21 – Edmonton, AB @ Rexall Place
September 23 – Vancouver, BC @ General Motors Place
