An online video game based on the Columbine High School shootings is sparking outrage, reports the Rocky Mountain News.

Families of victims in the 1999 attack are speaking out against the game, called ?Super Columbine Massacre RPG.?

?We live in a culture of death, so it doesn’t surprise me that this stuff has become so commonplace,? said Brian Rohrbough, whose son, Daniel, was killed in the shootings. ?It disgusts me. You trivialize the actions of two murderers and the lives of the innocent.?

The game was posted online last year, but is only now growing popular. It uses investigative material from the shootings, including images of Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, the gunmen that killed 12 classmates, a teacher and themselves. Crime scene photographs of Klebold and Harris, in addition to images of students running and crying, are also included.

The creator of the game, who simply called himself ?Columbin? in an e-mail interview with the Rocky Mountain News, said he made it to ?promote a real dialogue on the subject of school shootings.?
