She is the punch line to many jokes, but nobody can say Ashlee Simpson doesn’t try.

Simpson has announced plans for a lengthy summer tour, and despite some people thinking she’ll fail miserably, this reporter thinks she’ll be singing (or doing something) in front of thousands all summer long.

Simpson will be touring in June and July at casinos, amphitheatres and other venues.
