One of music’s most sought after producers may soon become one of Hollywood’s most controversial.

Kanye West, who became famous for his hip-hop producing before he became a multi-platinum selling rapper, will produce a film inspired by his music.

The film, still untitled, will show several perspectives of the U.S., seen through the eyes of West and several filmmakers.

Six writers and 10-12 directors will create short stories that will be linked by a central story, reports the Associated Press.

New and previously released music by West will be featured in the film.

George C. Wolfe (”Lackawanna Blues”) will oversee the create process, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
