Britney Will Not Appear On K-Fed’s Upcoming Album
Woe is Kevin Federline. In the latest issue of Newsweek, to hit newsstands Monday, Britney Spears’ leech – oops, husband – says that criticism of him is unfounded.
“‘He hates his children, he treats his wife like dirt, he gets high all day,’” he said, quoting his critics. “If I was that bad, you think anyone, let alone Britney, would put up with it?”
Still, K-Fed says he’s got a tough skin and is prepared for even more backlash to come his way when he debuts this spring as a rapper. His first single, “PopoZao” is already available on his website, which Federline says has garnered 2 million hits in the eight days since the song was released.
He adds that his upcoming album will show off exactly what he’s made of, without the help of his superstar wife.
“We have collaborated,” Federline said. “But I’m not going to put the songs on this album because it’s like, ‘Respect me first; then I’ll show you what I’ve done with my wife.’”
Spears and Federline first met when he performed as her backup dancer in 2000. The couple married in 2004 and have a son, Sean Preston, who was born in September. Federline has two other children with his former girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson.
