Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong Split
Singer Sheryl Crow and biker Lance Armstrong have ended their engagement after two years of dating.
The multi-Grammy winner and seven-time Tour de France champion announced their split in a joint public statement to People magazine this week.
“After much thought and consideration we have made a very tough decision to split up,” says the statement. “We both have a deep love and respect for each other, and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Crow and Armstrong met in 2003 at a cycling event and became engaged in 2005. They had planned on having their wedding in Austin, Texas.
