Elvis Still King of Singles Chart
Elvis Presley?s ?Heartbreak Hotel? returned to the top of the Billboard singles chart this week, 50 years after the song debuted in 1956.
?Heartbreak Hotel? was the legendary singer?s first-ever No. 1. It crossed genres, originally spending eight weeks at No. 1 on the pop chart, topping the country charts for 17 weeks and reaching No. 3 on the R&B charts.
The single is part of the deluxe box set ?Elvis #1 Singles,? to be released Jan. 24. The collection showcases all 21 of Presley?s No. 1 hits packaged together on individual discs and includes a double A-side with ?Hound Dog? and ?Don?t Be Cruel.?
