Teen actress Lindsay Lohan has confessed to using drugs and having eating problems in the latest issue of Vanity Fair that hits newsstands Tuesday.

The 19-year-old told the magazine that she dabbled in drugs ?a little? after the success of 2004?s ?Mean Girls? but, ?I?ve gotten that out of my system.?

Lohan denied using cocaine, saying, ?I don?t want people to think that I?ve done? you know what I mean??

The actress-singer also confirmed rumours that she had been battling weight problems and fought bulimia. “I was making myself sick,” she said.

Lohan credits her appearance on NBC?s ?Saturday Night Live? last year for pushing her to seek help. She says that before hosting the show, Tina Fey (who worked with her on ?Mean Girls?) and “SNL” executive producer Lorne Michaels sat her down.

“They said, `You need to take care of yourself. We care about you too much, and we’ve seen too many people do this, and you’re talented,’ and I just started bawling,” Lohan says. “I knew I had a problem and I couldn’t admit it.”

She adds that she saw her SNL appearance after she did it and realized, “My arms were disgusting. I had no arms.”

Lohan says she’s doing much better, but suffered an asthma attack on Monday and was hospitalized in Miami. Her mother, Dina Lohan, told OK! Magazine on Wednesday that she will be taking her daughter home to New York to recuperate.

The actress has a busy schedule ahead of her. She is slated to star in ?A Prairie Home Companion,? due in theatres in June and she is currently filming, ?Bobby,? a movie about the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. She will also appear in a movie about John Lennon?s killer, Mark David Chapman, with actor Jared Leto. ?Chapter 27,? will begin shooting later this month.
