Lost Ladies Busted for DUI
Two Lost ladies have been busted for drunk driving on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
E!Online reports that Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, who are new additions to the cast of ABC’s popular drama this season, were arrested separately on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The police stopped Watros at around midnight, after her vehicle was observed weaving on the Pali Highway. Rodriguez was arrested at 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, after she too was spotted on the same stretch of road. Both women failed field sobriety tests and were taken into custody.
In the second season of Lost, Rodriguez and Watros play Ana Lucia and Libby, part of a group of characters nicknamed “Tailies” by fans because they were on the tail end of the plane that crashed on a mysterious island.
It’s not the first time Rodriguez, whose character is a tough ex-cop, has been in trouble with the law. She has pleaded no contest to three misdemeanors before: a hit and run, driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence. She was also arrested in 2002 for assaulting her roommate.
After getting their licenses revoked and posting $500 bail, Rodriguez and Watros were released. They are scheduled to appear in Kaneohe District Court on Dec. 29.
“The news is not who got arrested, the news is a reminder that we should not be drinking and driving and it’s very timely with respect to the holiday season,” Honolulu police spokesman Captain Frank Fujii told the Honolulu Advertiser.
Publicists for the show declined to comment on the actors’ behaviour. And no, they didn’t say anything about the numbers or the Others either.
