Nickelback Sues Former Drummer over Royalties
Canadian rock group Nickelback is suing its former drummer over royalties, the Associated Press reports.
Lead singer Chad Kroeger says former drummer Ryan Vikedal is claiming royalties on Nickelback songs even though he left the band in January.
Kroeger said he’s the only author and “maker” of the songs.
The Associated Press said Kroeger has demanded Vikedal sign registration forms returning their interests in future performance royalties and repay any royalties since he left the group.
Kroger says Vikedal has neglected or refused to comply and has continued to receive payments.
