Theatre Pulls 50 Cent Film After Shooting
A shooting death in front of a movie theatre near Pittsburgh has prompted the pulling of rapper 50 Cent?s new film, Get Rich of Die Tryin?.
Shots were fired in a confrontation involving four movie patrons in the foyer of the Loews Cineplex in West Homestead just after a screening of the film had ended Thursday night.
Shelton Flowers, 30, of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, was shot three times and later died in hospital. He and one other person were responsible for firing shots, but police have no suspects at the moment.
Flowers had a previous criminal record and was carrying an unregistered firearm, according to West Homestead police.
The film was pulled as a precaution, and no correlation has been made between it and the shooting, says Loews spokesman John McCauley.
McCauley adds that it isn?t known if the four men involved had just come out of that film or another one.
