Nicole Richie says the media has it all wrong when it comes to her public feud with former BFF Paris Hilton.

“Today, we’re no longer friends. There’s nothing that really happened, we’ve just grown apart,” Richie said, according to IMDb.com.

She denies claims that the former stars of The Simple Life fell out after she aired Hilton’s sex tape at a party.

“I would never do that,” Richie said. “I’m sure it stirs up controversy, which I’m sure that she (Hilton) loves but I really have nothing bad to say.”
