Ozzy Invited to Perform for the Queen
Shock rocker Ozzy Osbourne is best known for biting off the head of a bat during a concert. So who would have guessed that the proper and dainty Queen Elizabeth II was a fan?
Osbourne?s spokesperson, Lathum Nelson, announced Tuesday that “The Prince of Darkness” has been invited to perform at the annual Royal Variety Performance in Cardiff, Wales, on Nov. 21.
It won?t be the first time. Osbourne was invited to the same event last year, but had to decline due to scheduling conflicts. This time, Osbourne is going out of his way to make it, and will skip a scheduled appearance at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 18 instead.
“I cannot turn down this incredible honor twice,” Osbourne said.
Osbourne, along with his wife Sharon, will join international stars such as Andrea Bocelli and the Blue Man Group at the royal event.
