Jennifer Aniston’s trespasser could spend a year in jail after pleading no contest on Tuesday to tresspassing at her home in August.
David Hesterbey, 49, is required to stay at least 1,000 yards from the Friends star and her home for 10 years, until Nov. 1, 2015. He has already served two months of his jail sentence, reports People.
Hesterbey entered Aniston?s home through an unlocked door, asking for Jennifer. After an employee frightened Hesterbey, he jumped over the fence and ran down the beach where he was soon caught by police. Aniston, 36, was not there at the time but was in Chicago filming the movie ?The Break Up.”
Hesterbey’s attorney, Excel A. Sharrieff, told People his client is neither crazy nor a burglar, and that he was only looking for a career boost from the high-profile actress.
“He was simply trying to visit Jennifer Aniston because he’s an aspiring actor,” Sharrieff said. ?He was not looking to steal anything, he just went in through an open door.
“We’re not saying what he did was right,” Sharrieff added. “But it wasn’t stalking,” reports People.
