iTunes Australia Launched By Apple
Apple finally unveiled its Australian iTunes music store earlier today, bringing the total stores to 21 countries.
“We’re thrilled to bring the revolutionary iTunes Music Store to Australia,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. “iTunes features the largest catalog of local and international music in Australia with over one million songs, enabling music fans to purchase their favorites with one click and have them automatically sync to their iPod.”
Single tracks are available for AUS$1.69, while albums start at AUS$16.99. Videos are available for AUS$3.39. All prices include GST.
Exclusive music is available from Australian artists including: Missy Higgins, Bernard Fanning, Paul Mac, Evermore, Gyroscope and The Dissociatives.
Users should download iTunes (www.itunes.com) to buy music.
