Justin Timberlake has come to the defence of his ex, Britney Spears, over the theft and unauthorized publication of photos of her and her newborn baby on the Internet.

“It’s a little crazy,” Timberlake told Access Hollywood. “When a person like her, who’s obviously a sweet person, is having their first child, it’s like, ‘leave the girl alone, let her have the baby!’”

Over the weekend, Spears threatened legal action after the pictures from a private photo shoot popped up for all the world to see. At least two web sites featured photos of Spears embracing her child, as well as a family portrait.

The pop star gave birth to her son, Sean Preston, last month.
