Mary-Kate Olsen Leaves NYU
According to the Associated Press, 19-year-old Mary-Kate Olsen has dropped out of college in her second year.
On Friday, her publicist Michael Pagnotta was quoted on People magazine’s web site as saying, “Mary-Kate Olsen has taken an approved leave of absence from New York University to focus on her increasing responsibilities as co-president of Dualstar Entertainment Group and to pursue personal interests.”
Her twin sister, Ashley, is also co-president of Dualstar, but will remain at NYU.
The last time Mary-Kate was absent for a long time was in the summer of 2004 when she spent six weeks at a treatment center for an eating disorder.
The two twins, became co-presidents of Dualstar when they turned 18. The have been estimated to be worth more than $150 million.
