Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are expecting their first baby together, People magazine reported Wednesday.

The news was confirmed by Cruise’s chief publicist, sister Lee Anne DeVette, who states, “Tom and Katie are very excited, and the entire family is every excited.”

DeVette did not comment on the baby’s gender or say how far along the pregnancy is. DeVette did say that Holmes “has never felt better.”

Cruise, 43, and Holmes, 27, starting dating in mid-April, then became engaged in June at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. They announced their engagement the next day at a news conference.

Cruise is a father of two children, Isabella, 12, and Connor, 10, who were adopted when he was with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

Cruise is currently in Los Angeles shooting Mission: Impossible 3.
