Michael Jackson will record a song to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, says his spokeswoman, Raymone Bain.

Jackson, who has been living in seclusion in Bahrain since being acquitted of sexual molestation charges, will record the song in the next two weeks.

The single, “From the Bottom of my Heart,” will be released under the label of Bahrain’s crown prince.

The King of Pop is looking to enlist other musicians for this project.

“It pains me to watch the human suffering taking place in the Gulf region of my country,” Jackson said in a statement. “My heart and prayers go out to every individual who has had to endure the pain and suffering caused by this tragedy.

“I will be reaching out to others within the music industry to join me in helping bring relief and hope to these resilient people who have lost everything.”

Jackson hopes to have the same kind of success he did with his star-studded 1985 single, “We Are the World,” which made more than $60 million for African nations.
