Somehow, Hilary Duff is Number One for Second Week
Even though she had only released two albums prior to her greatest hits album coming out two weeks ago, Hilary Duff sold the most albums in the country again this week.
Duff’s “Most Wanted” moved about 100,000 copies, about half as many as last week, but in a slow week at the charts, it was enough to top Billboard.
“Now That’s What I Call Music” volume 19 sold about 5000 less copies than Duff’s album, to come in second.
Rounding out the top 5: Mariah Carey’s “The Emancipation of Mimi,” Black Eyed Peas’ “Monkey Business,” and “Harlem: Diary of a Summer,” from Jim Jones of the Diplomats.
Next week’s chart will have much more action, with huge releases coming from Tony Yayo and of course Kanye West, who could sell over 500,000 copies.
