Ashlee Simpson Returns to TV on Oprah
Nearly a year after the infamous Saturday Night Live incident, Ashlee Simpson hopes to make another appearance on the show, but she’s going to perform on Oprah first.
Earlier this week, her manager-father Joe Simpson confirmed reports that the 20-year-old pop princes is negotiating for a return to SNL, after being caught lip-singing on the show, due to her case with acid reflux disease.
“We are going to push ‘SNL’ back because we are doing ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ for one hour,” Simpson told Access Hollywood.
The meeting with Winfrey will air close to the release of Ashlee’s latest album, “I Am Me,” on Oct. 18.
Her side of the story is portrayed in “Unconditional,” which was released on Friday.
