It looks like it’s a boy for pop star Britney Spears.

The pregnant singer reportedly dropped $10,000 on boys clothing at a baby store in Beverly Hills.

“Her rep called the store, Petit Tresor, and had it closed down and Britney came in with her body guards and spent about $10,000,” says one source, according to MSNBC. “She has very good taste, actually: elegant and simple. I was surprised.”

A representative from the store said she could neither “neither confirm nor deny” Spears’s after-hours shopping spree.

Spears had previously been spotted shopping for girls clothing, which sparked rumours that she was having a girl or even twins. “That must have been a ruse or for someone else,” the source added. “This was definitely for her unborn child.”

“They?re mulling several names, but the one they favor is Preston,” another source said, backing the buzz that Spears’s baby with husband Kevin Federline will be a boy.

Spears reportedly also likes the name Charlie, after attending a screening of the summer blockbuster Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

“She feels Charlie is a great name for both sexes and her little sister Jamie Lynn agrees,” a friend of Spears has said.

Spears will give birth this October.
