One more month.

That’s how long is left before Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams go their separate ways, as Destiny’s Child is coming to an end.

The trio will perform for the last time together on September 10, when they wrap up their Destiny Fulfilled and Lovin’ It world tour in Vancouver.

“It makes us emotional when we think that this could be the last show,” Knowles said Wednesday in Toronto.

Destiny’s Child performed at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto that night, but prior to that, they made a surprise appearance at Variety Village, where a roomful of children from the local Ronald McDonald House were waiting.

They spent about an hour answering questions, posting for pictures, and teaching the children a few dance moves.

“We have to use our celebrity for something positive. It makes you feel far better than being on the stage,” said Knowles.

“McDonald’s wants us to come and hopefully make someone smile, but before we’ve done anything, they made us smile and lifted our spirits,” added Williams.

Destiny’s Child revealed their plans to split in the middle of June at a concert in Barcelona.

“It was the last day of the tour in Europe and Kelly got emotional and said this is the last time you’ll probably see us in Europe in concert,” Knowles recalled.

Even though they may never record or tour together again as a group, they say they will all stay friends and work together when they can.

“The beautiful thing about us is our group is based on friendship,” said Knowles. “We were friends first so we’ll be staying in each other’s lives. We’ll still do charity together and appear on each other’s albums.”

Rowland said it will be tough to adapt to a career without the rest of Destiny’s Child.

“The hardest thing is being alone when you’re on tour when you’re in the hotel room and you’re tired or lonely. You can’t just call the room next door and say, ‘girl what you doing? What you watching? Can I come over there?’”

When asked what each will be working on after the split, Williams replied, “Project rest.”
