It’s a shame The Jacket didn’t do as well as it should have in theatres, because it has one of the most well-written scripts of any movie this decade.

Adrien Brody is phenomenal as a war veteran sent to a mental institution after allegedly committing a murder. The head doctor, played by Kris Kristofferson, tries an experimental treatment on Brody’s character by strapping him up and sending him into a cramped space.

The patient, Jack Starks, begins to have flashbacks where he meets a young girl and her mother. He then has a flashback of the girl (Keira Knightley) a lot older. What kind of flashbacks are these?

Anything more being said about the plot may ruin the shock, so we’ll leave it at that.

The Jacket is a movie where you won?t just be shocked by the outcome, but you’ll have to watch it a few more times just to make sure you saw what you think you just watched.

Bonus features include an alternate ending, a behind the scenes look, and a look at special effects.
