Beck has announced plans for a North American tour this fall in support of “Guero,” nearly five months after the album’s release.
The genre-defying musician will kick off the tour Sept. 19 in Minneapolis and wrap up Oct. 8 in Camden, N.J., reported Billboard Tuesday.
In between, Beck will open three shows for The Rolling Stones: Sept. 24 in Columbus, Ohio; Sept. 26 in Toronto; and Oct. 1 in Hershey, Pa.
The singer-songwriter is also slated to play as one of four headlining acts (alongside Oasis, The Killers and The Pixies) at the inaugural Across the Narrows Festival, which descends upon Brooklyn and Staten Island, N.Y. on Oct. 1-2.
Tickets for Beck?s North American tour go on sale Saturday through Ticketmaster.com.
Opening acts are expected to be announced shortly.
To date, Beck has supported his latest Interscope release with West Coast shows, impromptu jam sessions and a headlining gig at Japan?s Fuji Rock Festival. Even without the aid of a full-blown tour, ?Guero? debuted at a career-best No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has already sold more than 623,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
?Guero? is officially Beck?s 10th full-length release. Two previous albums, ?Odelay? and ?Mellow Gold,? made SPIN magazine?s 100 Greatest Albums list in June.
