From her debut album, The Spirit Room, to a Los Angeles hospital, singer Michelle Branch has always reached life’s milestones ahead of others.

The singer, 22, is resting comfortably after giving birth to a baby girl named Owen, as reported in People magazine.

She and her husband, Teddy Landau, who is the bass player in her band, wed in July 2004. It is the couple’s first child.

Perhaps best known for the single, “Everyhwhere,” Branch picked up the guitar at age 14 and was signed only three years later by Maverick Records in 2001. She met Landau while touring in 2003.

Recently, Branch has hooked up with country singer, Jessica Harp for a side project. They plan to release a new album in 2006.

But in the meantime, Brnach is enjoying being a mom.
