Reality TV bimbo Jessica Simpson is advising Britney Spears to ditch her reality TV show before it ruins her life.

Simpson says she and husband Nick Lachey were bound to MTV by contract to do three seasons of their reality show, “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica”, but she regrets losing the two years of their lives.

“Only do one season and make sure your contract is good. We were locked in. We thought it was going to be a six-episode documentary about being a newlywed. It ended up being two years,” Simpson says.

Spears and husband Kevin Federline aired the first season of “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic” early this summer on UPN.
Simpson and Lachey were famous for their respective singing careers before the MTV series, but it was the reality show that made them both household names.

In 2005, the series won a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show. A couple of months later, the show finally wrapped.
