Hung Up to Be Madonna’s New Single
Hung Up will be the first single released from Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, according to the singer’s official website.
No release dates have been announced as of yet, but Madonna has confirmed on the ABC talk show The View that her newest album will be largely dance-influenced. Not long after its release, a supporting tour should follow in 2006.
Hung Up was produced by Stuart Price, the man who served as musical director on Madonna’s 2004 Re-Invention tour.
Confessions will be the Material Girl’s first studio album since the critically reviled American Life, which was the worst-selling release of Madonna’s career despite its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It sold 657,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
