Eminem Makes It Clear He Is Not Retiring
Despite rumours, Eminem is not ready to retire, he told MTV.
?When I know my next move, I?ll tell everyone my next move. I don?t know what I?m doing yet,? Eminem said.
Currently the mega-star rapper is on his Anger Management Tour, which stopped recently in his hometown of Detroit, which is when the rumours started swirling.
He was going to retire on September 17, his last tour date, in Ireland, according to reports. He was sick of the limelight, and he wanted to produce other artists, so the story went.
One day it will be true, he says. Maybe that “one day” will be September 17. Or maybe this is just a big publicity stunt.
?I know that I?m not gonna be rapping forever, I know that much,? he said. ?As long as I feel like I got the energy in me to do it, and the spirit, and I can do it, I?m gonna do it. I?m gonna always make music, whether I?m sittin? behind the boards and producing and making beats and puttin? other artists out there, or if I decide to do another tour or make another album.
Translation: Likely he is sick of the limelight (one more autograph and you’re asking for it) and wants to produce other artists for a change, and then if the creative light strikes him or he gets really angry at life, he?ll make another album. Or if he just want to make more millions, of course.
Waiting in the wings to take over Eminem?s rap-monopoly is his tourmate 50 Cent.
?The day he retires is the day you will see me all over MTV. I?ll be at the Movie Awards, I?ll be doing news. You?ll get sick of me,? 50 told MTV.
