Actor Brad Pitt was released from hospital on Wednesday after being diagnosed with a mild case of meningitis.

Pitt, 41, checked himself into Cedars-Sinai hospital on Monday after complaining of flu-like symptoms. His publicist confirmed he is now resting comfortably at home.

His last public appearance was in Ethiopia with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie. It is unknown where the actor contracted the disease.
