Charges Against Idol Reject Dismissed
Notorious American Idol contestant Corey Clarke escaped his latest tight spot with the law.
The former contestant, who alleged that he had an affair with Paula Abdul, was cited on midemeanour battery charges on June 25 after engaging from a food fight with his manager inside a Sacremento Hotel.
His manager, Laura Kathleen Troy, 34, did not wish to press charges. Clark, 24, explained the situation as a misunderstanding and was appologetic.
“I would like to appologize to any hotel guests and/or staff that may have been inconvenienced,” said Clark.
He was sentenced to appear in court on July 22 and could have faced up to 6 months in jail plus a fine of $1,000.
