New Our Lady Peace Album Out in August
Our Lady Peace will release their next album, “Healthy In Paranoid Times,” on August 30.
The band is confirmed to make an appearance at the Live 8 concert in Barrie on July 2, where they will debut material from the new album.
OLP are also planning a series of special shows in North America, which will then be followed by a major tour. “With this record, we’ve really taken the time with the songs that we needed,” said frontman Raine Maida. “I don’t think these songs sound like anyone but us.”
Healthy in Paranoid Times is the group’s first new album since Live, which came out in July 2003.
The album will be released as both a conventional CD and as a DualDisc. The latter features the entire record on the audio only side and an in depth look into the making of Healthy in Paranoid Times, including interviews with producer Bob Rock and the band, as well as documentary studio footage on the DVD side.
“When you’re a new band, there’s a feeling you get when you play a song you just wrote,” Maida said. “Maybe it’s not the best song in the world, but it touches you and connects with you. We tried to go back to that kind of feeling with every song on this album.”
